Well looknig into water cooling but have a couple of questions

How well does it cool your system
Is it quiet most i have looked at come with a whopping 120mm fan

Firstly what are you planning to cool, do you want a fully internal setup or an external box?

Water cooling can be very effective and very very quiet as larger fans can be run more slowly therefore quietly for the same amount of airflow as a smaller fan.

The silent stream kit is ok, having used one in the past they do work but something a bit meatier would obviously be preferable depending on the specification of the machine you wish to cool

Aviod kits like the one you linked to. They are uber-budget watercooling systems and often are worse than aircooling. Swiftech and asetek both make resonable begginer kits but Id recommend you buy parts seperatly as its not more difficult.

Water will absorb heat much better than air, the whole waterblock side of things is soo much better.. takes less space.. no noise from each component etc..

One of the main things to consider is cooling your GPU as the space restrictions have always forced air coolers to be crap...

If you get a large, 120.3 rad, and some silent'ish 120mm fans you should have no problem with niose. Alternativly you can get a heatercore (or two) which cost about £10 each, which perform very well.

For the sake of it silentdeath, i dont think he need a 120.3 for a Xp2600. A beginner kit is fine.

I think this sort of kit is good enuf:

Alphacool NexXxoS HP Pro Socket A £29.99
    XSPC R120.1-S Radiator £29.99
    Hydor Seltz L30 Pump £27.99
    1/2" ID Flexible tubing 2m £5
    Angel Eye Clear 4" Fill/Bleed Reservoir £14.99

The first four are from www.watercoolingshop.com, the res is from www.componentsuk.co.uk.
    Primary kit:
    Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
    Epson RD-1

    Film Kit:
    Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

    Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8

tbh, I would drain the system when transporting, last thing you want is to dislodge something and give everything a bath

fair call...also whats the advantage of a dual rad over a single 120mm, and whats the pump station like in the cheap one compared to a pump and res in the others.

ps i dont mean to hijack the thread ibmike, hopefully you'll be interested in these questions too

I used the larger version of that pumpstation and they are brilliant, makes filling the system very easy, very quiet and a decent flowrate.

a dual radiator can get rid of more heat, you can also run the fans slower, hence less noise and the supplied papst fans are very quiet to begin with.

Sorry I missed his second post saying he would only cool cpu.

I would agree with the above stuff - perfect for just cpu.

edit: and the alphacool kit would also do the job nicely.
