As long as it is a Tbred B then it will clock fine. I would go with the XP2500+ though.

No guarantees but TbredB and Barton are always unlocked, often hit 400FSB+ (lower multiplier?) and hit 2.1ghz to 2.3ghz (XP3000+ to XP3200+) on average with no more than 1.70v. Don't worry about stock speed as by far the most critical thing is that it is TbredB or Barton ... not TbredA or Pally. A TbredB XP1700+ will often run as fast as a TbredB XP2600+, there's simply no point forking out for a higher default speed (multiplier and voltage aside, shouldn't matter on any decent mobo). You really do want a mobo that can do 400FSB although 333FSB is far from bad, PC2700 minimum with PC3200 preferable. XP2500+ means you don't need to do any homework as they are always Barton based with a very good default multiplier and voltage. Barton is basically TbredB with double the L2 cache which makes it 5%ish faster at the same clock speed, hence Barton @ 2.1ghz is as fast as TbredB @ 2.2ghz. Do a search for more info.
