    Using 2 Soundcards

Is this possible? For example, using a Creative soundcard to take your standard output (i.e. games and music) and power your speakers and use the onboard soundcard to use a microphone headset for TeamSpeak, so to keep the two sounds seperate?

I love using my speakers in game but I don't like big booming voices coming out over that, especially when my missus is nearby!

In many games and music playback software you can select which device it should output the sound to, so there should be no problem.

In case there is not a setting it should follow your Windows sound setting.
Control Panel -> Sound and Audio Device Properties -> Audio
You can set which soundcard is used for playback and which one for microphone.

I have two soundcards (one onboard and one audigy2zs) and the onboard sound is dedicated to my Virtual Machine. So I'm sure output both at the same time is fine.

Whether your solution will work depends on:
    - If TeamSpeak is seperate from the Game's sound setting or not
    - Does the game support using non-default sound device for sound output
    - OR if TesmSpeak have its own setting for sound output device selection.

There's no point using one soundcard for output and one for input coz I need the second for output and input so I can use a microphone headset to hear people and talk to them, but the first for playing music and game sounds out of the speakers.

That should work fine, just enable you onboard sound plug your headset into that, and set Teamspeak to use you onboard sound for input/output and everything else should defualt to the soundcard and be played on your speakers.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

I use two sound cards. The microphone port on my vortex 2 is broken so I used my onboard for input. The vortex 2 has better quality sound so I use that for output.
