    Finding out a soundcards name..

How can i find the name of a soundcard so i can download the drivers?

A friend of mine is using a soundcard, but doesn't have the drivers and windows doesn't detect it.

Looked at the card but there is no model name or anything like that on it....

    Thanks

Install Lavalys EVEREST Home Edition for all your personal hardware identification needs, works a charm, great for getting your motherboard model and stuff

Glad to hear it, I'd recommend that program to anyone installing a fresh and not writing down what drivers were installed previously.

Comes in v. handy for doing formats on others PCs that appear to have lost their driver CDs! [culprit of this myself on my first PC, except the tool wasnt around then so I was stuck!]

Program used to be called Aida32, incase anyone remembers that.

Yeah, I used to use Aida32, and I have used Everest before, but I never knew it could detect things that weren't already installed
