    VGA Cooler for 9800pro?

After many years of being fine.. my 9800pro has suddenly decided it'll crash on me all the time (well, during WoW) .. VPU error if I'm lucky.. otherwise it's a system hang and monitor off :/
Currently have the side of the case off & that wasn't enough.. so I've balanced a 120mm fan infront of it.. which means I can play WoW; but it's annoying to have to do it.

So anyway.. I have no idea why it has started now, but I don't feel like a full system upgrade quite yet (normally I'd use something like this as an excuse ). - So any VGA cooler recommendations? & where to buy from?

    thanks.

    Id go for this one.

Alternatively if you have a tighter budget you could try this.

Do a few searches, maybe use froogle and you should be able to find it elsewhere for about £21.30. Make sure you go for the all copper version. With many sites these days you have to be logged in to see the postage which is very annoying, i have many accounts set up just to check postage costs.

ooh I just noticed Aria have it for £23..
I'll have a walk up there tomorrow probably and grab one

hehe £23 cooler seems like slight overkill for a graphics card thats now worth about £100.. but ah well.

You'll probably be able to use it on your next card too though.

bought it today, and some Artic Silver V..
    fitted it all.. etc.

Seems ok.. but.. WoW has still crashed twice in about 3/4 hours
(once hung, second time monitor just turned off...) sigh.
I give up.. I think I'll just upgrade.

can't really hear it tbh, and it has 5v/12v settings (I'm running it at 12v).

I had an issue with my 9700Pro a couple of weeks ago, forcing me to return it tothe suppliers... Annoyingly the 9800Pro has the same naff cooler one, while the 9500 and 9700np have larger coolers, and as the 9500 is a fair age, and the fan is running as good as day 1, I am not worried about those, but the 9800Pro I am now concerned.

Anyway, I bought one of those Artic coolers... Utter drivvel.

Tried to put it on, and guess what? It does not go on without me having to do some "Adjustments" and considering they have a 6 year guarantee, and actualy usign it render this G'tee useless, I thoughtthat was a bit naff.

I didnt try that Zalman, but they look giid... I also tried a couple of Vantec coolers, but these didnt help, so thats when I decided that enough was enough, the card had to be returned, so I waiting for the news on that.

When mine started to die, the only issues I noticed at first was the CPU temps rising, now being a smoker, with a cat who loves to lie next to my PC, it gets clogged up and so the temps rising over time was nothign new... I usually just yank off the CPU cooler, and clean the dust off, but there was nothing on it, and I also noticed how hot the card was... Hotter than normal.

The CPU temps were at about 56c, I swapped the card for the non-pro for a bit and the CPU temps stayed below 40c, put the Pro back and up they went again.

I carried on for a few days, then I started to notice glitches in the Startuplogo, but no crashes... Thats when I decided that the card was dying.

I only just got it in Feb this year so I am definitely NOT happy.
