OK I also have a query. Is it possible to earth a plastic hoover nozzle? And do you just leave the PC plugged in to earth it?
How do you earth a hover, just plug it in right?

If you are using a vacuum cleaner on your PC it's best to turn it off. Also be sure you have no loose jumpers or cables, or you may loose them.Originally Posted by jonneymendoza

Maybe I'm taking you up wrong here but just because the nozzle is plastic does not mean it couldnt deliver a lethal static charge to your computer.Originally Posted by Allen
Static electricity is a surface charge and it generally builds up when two nonconductive objects are rubbed together (ie hoover nozzle and carpet). If you hoovered your floor and then straightaway started hoovering inside your computer I would have thought that there was a good chance of damaging something.
Just use some air duster like the rest of us!

plus is it safe to hoover around teh components board?
Just turn off the power on the back of the PSU.
Yes it's safe as long as you have no loose wires or jumpers. You don't want to lose them in the vac.
