Wink IDE ? Master / Master or Slave and Master?

Buying some Rounded cables for my 2 CD drives (1 is a Pioneer 106 – Other is a Liteon). I initially wanted to set both drives to Mater using the Primary and Secondary IDE ports on my Motherboards, as my Hard drives are SATA, so I can take full advantage of these. I cannot find any Rounded single connector IDE cables, my options are buying two, two connector cables and just hiding the additional connector.
Or shall I just use one cable and set one to Master and one to Salve? Does this have an effect on Performance?

You can make your own quite easily using standard IDE cables spirowrap or heat shrink and a very sharp knife!!

    Full details available if required!
