    or,

    option 2

just get a 939 AGP mobo, and the 939 cpu, and leave the graphics and ram for another day?

im playing battlefield 2 demo, and it runs fine a 1024, but would like that extra oomph. if i was to go with option 2, which board?

I'm also in the same postion, just can't make me mind up

Although I did add a new PSU to the list, not sure what you are running at the moment but you might well need one going from your old setup.

    Lo m8

Don't have no where near as much free time as I use to so that mean less Hexus

    I'm still using my 350w enermax that I bought at i10, it's kept my XP1700+ @ 2.4 stable for 2 years roughly now, but I can't see it coping with a XP3800+ and a couple of 800Xl's.

Are you gonna be overclocking the 3200+?

I would advise to use a slightly less expensive board like asus a8n sli, or just a normal ultra board rather then a SLI one as u will probably won't be running SLI. Also, u might want to look at the X800XL as it is not too bar behind in benchmarks but considerably cheaper and if ur using this setup at stock setting you will be limited by the cpu.

So, i advise that the money u save here can be put to buy a better CPU like the AMD 64 3500 or 3700.

This will make a more round upgrade with some ocing potential.

U might want to wait some months for the 7 series gforces to come out and the dual core to mature and settle in price.

if i only upgrade the board and cpu i need it to be an agp board, i hate nvidia with a passion, after many crap cards from them and 3 perfect ones from ATi.

so, a 3500 or 3700? and what mobo?

    Id go with a 3200+ Venice, Asus Nforce 4, and a X850XT.

Or you could get a faster cpu like a 3700+ San Diego, and get a X800XL.

You really need 1GB of ram though, especially for BF2.

3200+ venice would be good... but you could also consider sth cheaper like a 3000+ venice... OC very well on the chip I tried out... 3500+ is a very good chip.... its abit pricy tho...
    Me want Ultrabook
