would any one know why my system would instead of shutting down, just reboots, even if i press the power button, XP goes to shut now, then reboots!!
Any ideas?
The motherboard is an AT7 MAX 2, with a XP 1700 (not over clocked) and 512mb.
It didn't do this all the time so i think it could be software related....
check in System properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery that the checkbox "automatically reboot" is unchecked - you will probably find that you are getting a BSOD on shutdown for some reason - that may provide some help in troubleshooting the problem.Quote:

that sounds like the problem to me too :)
I'd hazard a bet on it being a driver/device failing to shut down properly when you go to shutdown, and is throwing up the BSOD. You installed any new hardware / changed drivers recently?
Has it done it since you built it?
Graphics my ATI dose it lol :(
