It's very cheap at the mo....last time it got this cheap I was sorely tempted to buy a few gig PC3200 but I never did and since then, 3 builds later I regretted it. To get 1 gig oig of stuff, even if its for your NEXT build (A64?) for £50 sounds good news to me.

Not been too keen on Elixir stuff, TBH. I'd rather spend an extra couple of quid and get something like Corsair Value.
What's the view on Crucial RAM these days?

....but I wouldn't stress too much, it doesn't look like it'll rise too much again this year. I guess it depends how much you think you're likely to need. Bear in mind that sometime next year AMD plan to go to DDR2, so I wouldn't look much beyond the next six months when planning your buying.
I would rather be stocking up 1GB sticks. I got my corsair 2x1G value sticks at 110 pounds each. Too bad they doesn't clock good (System unstable at STOCK 200-3-3-3-8 rating, may be just some bad one went through due to not enough QC).
Since they run not very stable I may switch to TWINX2048-3200C2 at 51 quids more expensive. Anyone know are TWINX2048-3200C2 good?
Thinking of 2GB G-Skill (TCCD) but cant find any 1GB sticks :(
