Hi,
Just as pcpitstop tests systems on line is thereany other site which will do so?

Vijay
why would u want to know about if there are any more sites like that. u mayaswell take ur pc to pcworld tbh...
why, when he can test from home, if he wants to test his system, mayeb helping him rather than flaming him would be advisable
The whole purpose is to test my Pc at home.
Would be rather difficult to take it to PC world (wherever that is) as I'm in India !
Thanks
Vijay
why cant you use the pcpitstop 1? or is it parp?
Trust me mate, you wouldn't want to go there anyway
Man, just fly over to the UK and take it to pcworld ...
Signature is 57 % complete. Please check back later.
Love to but at 1m sterling return would go a long way towards upgrading my system...But if I ever do will make it a point to hoist a few with you guys.
Vijay
linpack java is the only one i can think of:
http://www.netlib.org/benchmark/linpackjava/
all the others you need to download and then install.

my point wasnt to flame, just to point out nothing pcpitstop can say about ur pc would be usefull...
are u having probs with ur pc or just looking to bench it?
having prob but also would like to bench it too.
Vijay
If you want to benchmark it , why not use somethign like SiSoft Sandra ( you can download a free evaluation copy )
for testing the memory , google for memtest .
to stressing the CPU , use something like SETI/ UD / any other DC bit of software and measure temperatures , using MBM 5(motherboard Monitor ).
Specifically which bits are you wanting to troubleshoot ?

Sandra and Aida give conflicting reports on occasion.Got mbm,
Will try seti some time,I first want to clear up some confusion about the CPU.
I bought a Amd 2600+ XP with a 333FSB as stated on the CPU box.
However acording to CBId my chip is a AXDA2600DKV3C which means that the FSB is266.
AIDA doesn't give any details but says the FSB is 333.Being a begin to this world of Comps, I am confused and short of uninstalling the CPU and re installing it seems one of the bench mark prog will be able to re assure me.
Let me try Linpack java and I will post again.
Thanks guys.
Vijay
have you had a look at this ?
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
this should also report correct stepping on your chip.
Also you might want to check the full code on the chip istelf.
my Virtualisation Blog http://jfvi.co.uk Virtualisation Podcast http://vsoup.net
It does report the stepping as

Can you decipher it and post the answer.
Vijay
System Bus : 333.29 MHz DDR = fsb/ram speed
System Clock : 166.65 MHz = external clock
Multiplier : 12.5 * System Clock : 166.65 MHz = internal Clock : 2083.09 MHz
