    I like the MX1000.
Scan have stoped selling the x800xt but i can get it for £230, how much better is it? Also bearing in mind it is OEM.
Im sure my PSU will be fine, its a goodun (PSU test coming to hexus soon)
Im unsure about the floppy. The only reason i want one is i may need one to flash the bios as i am using a San Diego. But i have heard people install XP with the San on on my board, but having to do it three times. Any ideas?

EDIT: This is the x800xt http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=604025
Also, do i need to get any

I have just been looking at the reviews of the DFI Ultra-d not the sli one and they all say it has two 16x pcie slots, wtf?

Keep the mouse there theres nothing wrong with the MX1000 overall, just use it on the serial port i had problems with the cursor sticking when it was on USB. Ive heard of others having this problem to, but is easily fixed.

That system is really a good deal. I rememmber when i had built my pc (below in sig but with a radeon 8500 & not a GF6600GT) it cos somthing like £1700 and that excluded a monitor, router and keyboard. I bought from all the usual places on the net to. Its a nice setup for that price

Will i need any dvd decoding software, like Nvidia decoder?
Is there anything else (i have OS) i should think about getting?
There is a serious lack of bundle with the GPu and MOBO on this PC

    Edit: this? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=160671

Also is it worth getting a UPS? Like this, or do i have to spend more than that?

Do i need a surge protector fr that as well? (I dont want anything to happen to my baby )

UPS make good surge protectors, well decent UPS anyway. Don't know if cheap ones are as good, but I would presume so. I have one of those 6 way blocks with surge protector built in - remember they have a finite lifespan tho. Are you really going to want to be using your PC when everything else is off? or do you have unreliable electricity in your area? Only reason to have an UPS at home I can think of.

too right. go for it mate, buy it.

thats a lovely rig, any of these changes will hardly make a difference, they will all be awesome, you can worry about minute details for months on end but at the end of the day there's very little in it in the real world.

    go forth and purchase

I would consider your cooling....i just ran out and bought all the nice shiny performance bits, without thinking of cooling.

Temps where quite high due to using a crap case, with crap 120mm fans that had crap airflow. Crap crap crap.

Sooo... bought a new case (Antec P160), 3 Papst Fans, an Artic Cooler for the graphics card, a Thermalright XP120, and a new power supply(Tagan 2Force SLI) .

    Give it a thought

Have you seen that case on his list ???? Its definately up there in my top 10 of cases, if not the top 5. It even has a inner panel that you can mount two fans inside the case to cool your pci/pcie cards, as standard.

I wasnt implying HIS choice of case was rubbish? I was telling him my old case was, theres a difference.
