    Question Suggestion Please

Hi guys, i am upgrading my pc, i was 100% sure what i wanted (which was/is)

    CPU - AMD 64 3200+ (Venice)
Memory - OCZ Gold EL Dual Channel Kit 2x512MB DDR466 PC3700 Rev 3
    Motherboard - Abit Fatal1ty AN8
    Graphics - Connect3d Radeon X800 XL 256mb DDR with VGA DVI-I+TV PCI-E
    Hard drives - 2x Maxtor 120GB SATA 7200rpm 8mb cache
    PSU - Thermaltake PUREPOWER 480W

OK thats what i was gonna get, but then i seen this Bundle package . (Gigabyte GV-3D1 with GA-K8NXP-SLI).

So you can probably guess what i'm going to ask u guys now which do i go with, the Abit Fatal1ty AN8 & Connect3d Radeon X800 XL or the bundle package?

The thing is i am more of a ATi fan than Nvidia but i want the package that will proform the best and overclock the best.

So can i please have your advice guys before i order, thanx

I would stick with the original plan. The 3D1 is a single graphics card using 2x6600GT GPUs and so far I think only Gigabyte do this SLI on a single card. It's performance is a bit hit and miss depending on the game. It benches high in the 3dmark2003 and 3dmark2005 but in real games it often scores below the 6800gt and x800xl so I guess it's down to support. Why isn't everyone doing this type of card? I'm suspect the heat & noise could be a problem. Do you need drivers from Gigabyte or can you just run the latest off Nvidia. It's off the beaten track so I'd be concerned about support for it. Don't make an impulse buy based on ebuyer reviews. Find some proper reviews atleast.

Thanx for that m8, i was going to stick with my first plan as i have always picked ATi over Nvidia. Plus like you said if the dual GPU card was so good why havent more manufacturers done it. Thx again X800 XL here i come
