Overclocked 6600GT
Well I just got myself a Zalman VF700-Cu for my 6600GT. I have managed to push it to 600/1180. After 600 core speed, I see artifacts, but when I try to go past 1180 memory in RivaTuner it says the driver failed to pass internal test. Does this mean that there is no way to get past 1180, or is it just RivaTuner stopping me?
Also is this a good overclock for this card?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt the internal tester is accurate. My card stocks at 500/1000, and it said error when I run 510/1020, I doubt my luck would be bad enough not to have even 2% overclocking (my ram maxed out at 112%, venice 3000+ maxed at 111%)
IMOH 600/1180 is not bad already. I would have been happy to reach 600/1180.

What 6600GT have you got? I have just installed an XFX 256MB 6600GT AGP, would I be able to ge these results on mine?

It really depends on quite a lot. Most people can get some overclock, but cards differ a lot and I have aftermarket cooling which made a difference.

If it fails the internal trest, it means it detected errors and would not be stable at the speed you set. You shouldn't try to force an overclock that wont pass, you will probably have trouble with it.
Even OCs that do pass the test are not always stable. The quick little test doesn't get the card very warm.
