    How Do I Uninstall A Graphics Card

    Do i need to disable the graphics before i power down.. basicaly would someone be kind enough to give me all i need to no on how to disable, uninstall a graphics card properly .. thanks and by the way i havent installed any drivers so i wont need to go to add and remove programs and take them off from there..

    1. Uninstall any drivers for the card from the add/remove software thing in the windows control panel.

    2. Restart your computer and if the video is onboard, go into the bios and find the setting for it and disable it. Exactly how to do this should be some where in your motherboard manual.

    If you don't have onboard video just shut down the computer.

    3. Shut down, if you have not already, and physically take out the old card (if their is one) and put the new one in. Make sure its seated well into the slot and any power connectors that need to be pluged into the card are plugged in.

    4. Turn on the computer and install the drivers for your new card.
