    Question Ram for 100 quid

Ive got 100 quid left to buy some ram for my new rig.

Im buying everything else from tekheads so i dont have to pay postage again for each site.

Could u pick me out some ram off their website for about 100 quid. looking for 2x 512 obviously ,

Or somewhere else if there is free delivery

    cheers all

www.crucial.com/uk The ballistix RAM is pritty good stuff for about £59 per stick of 512MB free next day delivery is also included. if your budget cannot strech that far then on tekheads i would probably go for the corsair twinx 1GB (2x512) as it is one of the better manufacturers.

    Hope this helps you.

I assume you want DDR, whats the rig, is it s939? The patriot low latency ram on tekheads looks ok for £97.
The question is what do you want from your ram? Are you going to overclock? If not low latency is all that matters and even then nnot very much.

If you're not overclocking, I think you are best off just getting ordinary RAM - for the price, I don't think tight timings are worth it.

    Getting Asus A8N-SLi Deluxe.

I think the Corsair is probably better because it is the "pro" series. Although, don't count on my knowledge, wait for more people to tell you.

Oh, and by the way, "ordinary" ram is like corsair value select, as opposed to the modules with tighter timings (which cost more).
