World's fastest processor.

I would like to build P.C which performs better for gaming than other things. So what should be the ideal config.

AMD Athlon 64 FX-57
Asus A8N-E Motherboard
7800GTX PCI-E Videocard
1GB Corsair PC3200 XL
OCZ Modstream 520
At least one 74 GB Raptor (and a 200GB SATA storage drive if you must buy every videogame you see.)
Case, keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc...all personal preference.

Change FX-57 to X2 4800+ if you run multiple CPU intensive applications at the same time or do heavy audio/video encoding or DVD ripping.

The next gen of games, eg those based on unreal3, will be able to properly use dual CPU (inc dual core). This is cause the nex gen consoles have more than one CPU. So, for now the fx57 is better, but soon whatever the best dual core will be better, or even two dual cores!

Not true at all. Dual CPUs have been available for years and game programmers couldn't care less. What makes you think multiple cores on the same CPU is going to change this? It's the same thing as having multiple CPUs.

With the FX-57 JUST being released and the FX-55 having been released over 6 months ago (just a guess) I dont think any hype will be getting released any time in teh near future.. or at least untill Intel go and release a faster processor...
