    Asus A8N-SLi Premium/deluxe

Whats the difference between these two mobos and is it worth going for the premium?

    Thanks again all

The premium lets you switch between 16x/1x and 8x/8x PEG slot configurations through the BIOS instead of with the daughterboard. I don't think there's much else different, except the price.

the premium doesnt have an annoying fan.

the chipset is cooled by a heatpipe, and thus makes no noise

Really? The one I've seen (Tom's Hardware) just had a revised chipset fan.

I have the deluxe version and it very quiet! shame about the graphics card though a ATI X700pro which sound 10 X louder than anything else.
Currently running with the XP 64 version and it very good, in fact the 64bit XP seems more stable than the old XP.

Personally I'd go for the Asus - but thats just my own thoughts, as I generally preffer their boards.

Do you think i'll be able to clock the asus mobo with a 3700 SD to 2.7/2.8 with a decent heat sink?
