    Mirroring with Lacie USB drives

    Hi all,

Just got hold of a Lacie 250 Gb external USB drive and was wondering if anyone has tried mirroring with it.

    1) Is it possible to Partition a external USB drive. Will Partition Magic be able to do the job? (I don't really want to waste the remaining 130Gb).
    2) Anyone Used the Lacie drives for mirroring, any problems if so ?
    3) Recommendations for freeware to do the mirroring ?

I'm running the Shuttle ST61G4 with a SATA 120Gb drive. Any recommendations or advice would be helpful.

    Thanks

Yes you can partition a USB drive AFAIK

Yup PTM will format and partition external drives no probs.

As for mirroring I suppose so.... could just use the Windows mirror facility under computer management and drives

Edit: Sorry didn't read post properly, don't know if possible (well probably is, but with what dunno) to mirror from windows one - probably is freeware otherwise
