Wink Building pc for Half Life 2, what else do I need???

    Hi all,

I am sure this has appeared in forums a million times over the months but I am
in the process of building myself a new pc for the first time cause I wanna play all the new games that are coming out this year

The following is what I have so far:

Case: Q-Tec Midi Tower ATX TL-MD, Silvertransparent. (has 3 fans inside)
PSU: Q-Tec 400 Watt Dual Fan Gold
    Mobo: Asus P4C800
Memory: TwinMos PC3200 512mb Dual DDR
Sound: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (from current pc, might get Audigy 2)

The following is what I will be ordering soon:

    CPU: Pentium 4 3.2ghz 800 mhz
Graphics: Undecided (waiting for prices to come down)

I have decent 5.1 Altec Lansing speakers already.
And I will be using the monitor, keyboard etc from this pc

So is there anything else I need????

    Thanks for your help guys!!

I can tell you for free that HalfLife2 is NEVER coming out- it was all made up so we could be fooled into buying new bits
Try Rome Total War instead as at least that was shown on Time Commanders and hence exisits

Get a good keyboard mouse combo & good mousing surface. Plus a really comfy chair cos your ass is gonna be in it for hours at a time.
Still DOOM III should be out soon, can see a sickie coming on for a day or two there

    Ohhh - another Q-TECer.

If you want a cheap replacement for that ebuyer were doing some superflower psu's for about £25, and you can get a CWT from scan for about £35.

It is very quiet. I have the exact one from Scan and would definately recommend it! Much cheaper than Antec and Enermax one's and will perform just as good.

Hello Pyramus, what else do you need?? a crystal ball it seems, as game's are being delayed so much these days
Memory: TwinMos PC3200 512mb Dual DDR

I'd buy 1 GB of ram some of the latest games are starting to use it i.e. farcry, battlefield 1942

Graphics: Undecided (waiting for prices to come down)

At this very moment definetly a 9800 pro or XT, but the longer you wait who knows!
