Smile What printers do you have?

What printer(s) do you all have? Inkjet, Laser, mono, colour? Looking to find out which brands and models are still used and popular today.....

I have a HP LaserJet 4 Plus and a Epson C60 Inkjet but thinking of getting the Canon iP4000 as an upgrade...

2 Lasers at home, one Samsung and one Epson EPL-5800L. Both refillable for cheap

1 A3 Printer at home, Epson jobby, never trusted anything but epson for Inkjet. Very High Quality. Catridges can be found for £1 or so.

1 Photo Quality Epson in my sisters room, cartridges are expensive but only used for high end art work.

1 Brother All In One Multifunction printer, cartidges are a few pound but used for lower quality photos from memory cards and for automatic scanning.

1 Epson C86 printer, mine, love the beast because of <£1 carts and individual colours.

Epson R200 for me. Cheap replacement carts, can print on DVDs and CDs and the photo quality is great for simple home use.

I have a laserjet 4 plus, and an IP4000. Makes a great combo as my wife is doing her disertation so all the bulk stuff is printed on the laser. I mainly use the IP4000 for printing photos (which it does very well) and for printing on to DVD / CDs. I picked up 2 laserjet 4s from a skip at work, along with a new toner that was being binned.

Canon Pixma IP3000. I really would recommend the pixma range - it's fantastic. Pictbridge, so you can print photos directly from a compatible camera - 2 seperate trays so you can have normal paper in one and photo paper in the other, printing direct to CD/DVD, and 4 seperate colour cartridges. The best printer I've owned, and a great price as well.

At work, I use a Laserjet 1200 (mono) and Laserjet 3500 (colour)

LJ4s are the best printer HP ever made IMHO. We had some at the library at the uni that did over 1,000,000 pages with only a couple of minor services (rollers, fusers, feed assemblies etc)

Can someone suggest a black and white laser printer which has the ability to photocopy papers and a good colour printer which can print out text and photos on the same page?

It is for someone's small business.

For the black and white laser, you want one of HPs laser small business all-in-one jobs, and for the inkjet, accept nothing less than the HP Business Inkjet.

2 x Epson Sylus Colour 740. Old now but decent for run-of-the mill.
Looking at Epson R800 or the A3 equivalent once the prices drop to something close to affordable!

I still have a Canon BJC-210, but I rarely use it now. Considering it's over 7 years old, I think it has survived remarkably well! I also use a Canon MPC190, which prints and scans well. The only bad thing about Canon printers is the lack of Linux support - as such, I'm looking at getting an HP printer.

100% with you on the laser - Although I'm a fan of the canon inkjets, no other manufacturer even comes remotely close to HP when it comes to laser printers. Well supported, reliable, and easy to service.

Epson R300 photo printer and CD/DVD printer

Great piece of kit and all my discs are now nicely labelled with images, text and whatnot so I know whats on them as its a PITA having 30 discs with no labels or indication as to whats on them at all.

Photo-wise - cracking again. Some nice images printed out and stuck in some frames to decorate my room and the cartidges are cheap to replace if you look for good compatible ones.

The card-reader does what it says and the only one I want to replace this is the R300 ME with the video display on
