erm... 8mb cache in a a cd/dvd-rw, isnt that a bit much???? thats more than both my hdd's put together!
i doubt having 8mb over 2mb affects burning much atall... aslong as ur drive is burn proof/buffer underrun protection.

but for £37.99 my 4x dvd-rw burner was a bargain... but ive not yet used it more than 10 times! (had it a few months!)

some one explain why SCSI interface would be better for a dvd/cd writer... they use nowhere near the max ata133 bandwidth... not too much cpu overhead either... why would u want an scsi one!!! it wouldnt be any faster! just cost 2x more!

It suddenly becomes very convenient when you've 8 HDDs and 3 optical drives already... See sig.
