    Sdram

    Hi.

When upgrading RAM in a Intel system, do you have to use two sticks as oposed to one stick if it's SD RAM?

It seems thats i'm gettng beep errors if one SD module is installed.

Would it be possible to have one stick of 256MB SDRAM in there?

    Thanks
    Martin

if the system is using Rambus memory then yes, you need to install memory in a matched pair.

If you've only got 1 in there thats why its beeping

RDRAM on older intel systems needs all slots filled (with eithier memory or terminators)

SDRAM doesn't need to be installed in any partiular arrangement
