    need laptop advice for parent who wants it all..

    ok so i know this is not possible but how close can you get a centrino or turinon procesor with a large hdd (60gb+) in a lightwieght case (i.e under 2 kg) with 512/1gig of ram and a good screen and a deent gfx card.. and dvd rw and wifi for as close to £800 as you can get.. see my parents don't ask much do they
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
    Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

    When you say decent graphics card, are they gamers? Do they need 3D acceleration? Or just decent 2D?

    I have a laptop that suits that spec perfect but it would cost £1300 in shops

    I got it in absolutely brand new condition for £890 so try ebay if you know what you are doing.

    Make sure it is insured under house insurance though as you won't get a warranty when bought off ebay
