I do.
I like rebooting. If I make a large change, or an install, or uninstall....
in fact if I so much as touch the keyboard.
I reboot.
Do you?

Well i reboot on the following
If left on over night
Before a major clan match on Operation Flashpoint
Major windows update
minor windows update
Uninstalling software
Installing software
So looks like we're in the same boat then! :-)
I still don't trust Windows to handle more than one change without a reboot. I've seen people cut corners and get their fingers burnt too many times.
I don't like rebooting, but often it's the right thing to do...
... unless you're one of those people who likes to do a Windows reinstall every three months (or weeks even.) :p
Only if I have to to make something work. When I turn the PC off at night I just suspend-to-ram.
I never reboot unless I have to, why waste valuable Find-A-Drug crunching time?
Shut down on a night, but no reboot during the day unless I have to.
Hello noce forum
Hello...
I only reboot when I have to. Otherwise my PC's on 24/7

Very rarely I reboot due to "performance" issues and its running UD when not gaming :)
i rebot when it says " Would you like to rebot your PC " and thats it...... and when the stupid nVidia Graphics card drivers make your pc rebot.
Work PC, hardly ever. Software installations only. @ home tho the PC's usually off if i'm not there.
corrr..what a lot or variation.
I reboot, ......TiG never does...he makes Windows STRUGGLE till it bleeds before letting the poor thing reboot ;)
I only purposely reboot if after installing something, a reboot is requied for that thing to function properly. By that I mean I will alway try it first, because they often lie.
YES, YES THEY DO! That annoys me so much. "You must restart your computer"... /runs program... clearly I don't need to restart my computer! :mad:Quote:

I have heard a few people in the past say that the more you reboot, the more you reduce the the lifespan of your hardware. I think due to the effect of the chips and soldering expanding and contracting as they heat up/cool down. Think there is anything in this?
One reason I reboot, apart from Windows being rubish at maintaining resources over extended periods and poor software/driver installations, is simply because of the effect on my electricity bill and the environment while I am not using it/hugging tree's.
Me to. :)Quote:
