Thumbs down Problem with XFX 6800

Hi guys i recently purchased a XFX 6800 128MB RAM 256-Bit off ebay and i recieved the item and once i had fitted it i formatted my pc so that it would run correctly with no problems what so ever, but when i walked away from my pc for 5 mins when i had formatted and had all the correct drivers installed the screen became blotchy with little squares with purple in the squares and also when i moved the mouse it had a large square around just like it bugged also when i went to advanved options on the graphics card the GPU was reading 153 degrees 'C', also when i was playing a game the problem accured again and when i tryed closing my game my monitor then had a black screen and my pc was still running and it did this quite frequently.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

I had exactly the same symptoms with my 9800 pro. It was overheating, so I cleared the dust from the fan+heatsink and now it's fine.
