Been thinking about selling this as I'm not at home in the week and no longer using my PC that much so it's an extravagance I don't really need. The exact model number is SDM-P232W - will full post the specs from the manual later as I can't find correct ones online.

It's an excellent screen and like most larger panels it does have a few (4-5) dead sub-pixels (stuck on green) however the res is so high you don't notice them unless you put the desktop to black and squint at it (the red and blue parts of each of these still work so you see green on black but they can still show full white, etc)

It has 2 x DVI and 2 x VGA sockets but you're only supposed to use 2 at any one time (e.g. 4 sockets, 2 'channels') - you switch between the channels using a button on the surround (there are also "input priority" options in the OSD menu where you can switch between the DVI-D and HD15 for each channel so you *might* be able to use all 4 inputs but I've never felt the need to try this out)

It's in immaculate condition comes with original manual and probably driver disc too somewhere (not that you need it) but no box. I would be looking for someone to pick it up as it would cost a fortune to post and I wouldn't want to risk the damage. Can probably also deliver within local area (Wokingham near Reading / Bracknell in Berkshire).

HL2 and loads of other modern games support 16:10 resolutions and look excellent in widescreen (though admitedly you'll need a pretty good PC to play them at 1920 x 1200!)

So... What's it worth? Any ideas?

(shows same model, not mine - will take pics later... note the SCREEN is not 9.9" deep - that's just the base )

What kind of range would you be looking at getting for it?

And do you have any pictures of your one? And pics of the dead pixels?

My guess is somewhere in the region of £400-£500.... It may have been vastly more than that new, but to be honest, selling a screen with that many dead pixels is gonna be difficult. I have a 1920x1200 screen that is dealpixel less

Is that common now? Have you checked up close and personal with a fully black and a fully white screen? I thought most of the bigger displays always had a couple of dodgy sub pixels...

Thanks for the suggestions BTW. Think I might end up sticking it on ebay...

as a guide, OcUK have the P234B (which i assume is the newer model, with 16ms response) new for £1351.19.

so £500-£600 for the older model with some dead pixels sounds about right
