    OCZ Platinum 1gb PC3200 2-2-2-5 (rev2) - was it worth it?

I just bought the above item on eBay, I ended up putting a bid in for this by mistake. I couldnt withdraw the bid manually and the auction had ended by the time the owner had replied to my email Anyway, he was very helpful and I decided I may aswell keep the item, the guy really seemed to want to help. I ended up winning it for £126.

Anyway, just asking, was it worth the money?

Try overclocking it. If it can reach CL1.5 or DDR600, it is worth the money. If it couldn't do very high frequency, it doesn't. I bought my pair of Geil Ultra-X at about that price. It could go DDR640-2.5-4-4-8.

If you don't like it you can always sell it.

I will when I get it But I'm a bit OC shy, which is why I bought 2-2-2-5 RAM as I thought this would give the best performance without tinkering

If these are the ones i think they are, they should reach about DDR600. If not they might be awful, i couldnt be sure.

Edit: do you know if these are 'revision 2' or the older ones?
Edit 2: Ignore that, if they are 2-2-2-5 they must be rev 2

So i think they will be good. Look at the bottom chart (i own the Corsair 4400C25 at the top of it )

Just to check, are they new or used? Yes, they seem to be good ram. I can hear that sigh of relief from here.

On further inspection after the auction I found they are used. However, the guy has 1080 100% positive feedback and most if not everything he sells is used
