yes. i like microsofts mice a lot but many people prefer logitech. depends on how you hold the mouse really
logitech mx500/700
dothan 745 @ 2.4ghz | 2gb Corsair XMS (2-3-3-6) | dual raptors (raid0) | ATI 9700pro | CM201 | dual lg 1810
I would go for the MX700 over the MS mice any day of the week, and yes I have used both.
To me the MS mice just seem cheap, the buttons are nasty, the wheel feels all wrong, it's just wrong I tell ya
Saying that I do like my MS laptop mouse, and would use that over a Intelli v3 as well
Either a MX500 or if you can stretch to it get the cordless MX700

I'm not a great fan of Cordless.... All that recharging and latency/signal nonsenceOriginally posted by Trash Man

Is the 500 the same as the 700 other than the cable ?
There is no signal lag in the MX700 what so ever, as for the charging it has it's own battery and charger base unit. The battery lasts for 72 hours of solid use. I have used it for just over 36 hours solid at a LAN and the battery light never even came on

cheapest place i've seen so far is www.amazon.co.uk - £45.99 (free delivery)
Im guessing from what i can see..... it does not draw the power from the USB ports :/
will it work (say for going to a lan) without the power supply ?
I use to be in a top5 CBUK CS clan and I used my MX700 when I was in that, and all I use my PC for is playing game really.
If you were to use a MX500 and a MX700 after each other you would not be able to tell the differene. I was a bit worried to when I went from my Duel Optical mouse to the MX700 but after a few hours of playing I was very pleased that I did make the switch.

The base unit is the charger and that plugs into the mains, you could take the mouse to a LAN and leave the mains plug at home but you would need to take the base unit with you as that is the reciver aswell.Originally posted by acidrainy
