Is this an effective way of overclocking a cpu? I currently have a 3700 SD and i have changed it too 2400mhz and it automatically changed the voltage a little.
It looks too easy to be true. Could someone gimme some guidance as too whether this is effective or not and also how high it can go with stock fan
Cheers lads

Never used it but I wouldnt trust it. Whats wrong with doing it the proper way?

i dont know how to do it the proper way? lol :)

I used it seemed to work OK, but ketp getting boot failures. I think i need to update my bios seen as its an early modle. If you googe Overlcoking (you cpu) you should get some good results.

yeah, thing is im one of those people that hate reading articles/reviews any longer than 4 sentances. Im more of a set this to that and this to that and then it will be clocked lol :)
No existant i know.
some might say im just lazy ;)

Lazy bugger. When i used the AI Overclock feature in the BIOS, pretty sure you have that one as well, or they might of changed the name. Any way it made my computer fail to boot 2 out of 5 times. Which was a pitty. Manual Overclocking did the same, which i'm pretty sure is as a result of my older BIOS. I'll update it soon.

I have the Asus mobo with that cpu...i used the BIOS to do the oc'ing.

go into jumper configuration and then change to manual. Then you'll see the multiplier and the FSB.
