Yes the board is backward compatible with 533MHz FSB CPUs. Sadly while running a 533 CPU you dont have access to all the Memory ratios, i forget exactly which ones you can use. If memory serves me its the same as i845 board if that helps.
Drop in a 800 CPU in the future and all the overclocking delights of this board are revealed
