As title really - I'd just like to find out if anyone else has the same problems as me, where I have the mouse and receiver on my desk and I have to have them really close to each other for non-sluggish response.
Could this be due to intererence?

most likely interference, although the way my desk is setup mine works perfectly but there is probably only 15cm between the base and the mouse itself....

i would say intereference too, mine works perfectly even from 5 metres away. you should phone up Logitech uk for an RMA.
I quite like the keyboard, although it does sometimes not like to work exactly where its been sat for like 2 weeks, moving it about half an inches fixes it for some reason.Originally Posted by Tobeman

Mines fine, reciever is about 50cm away, few cm higher and through a curtain. Works just as well as when they're next to each other
Mine is fine at all distances. I could be down to your USB ports, as i had trouble with my last PC, but interference is probably the cause. My Micro Soft mouse and keyboard was much worse though. Mobile phones really effect them. Every few minutes when my phone keep logging on to the network it would freeze, same when i took a call. Having it to close to a bank of power plugs or transformers caused some problems. But the worst thing was vacum cleaners - complete nightmare. Even some motorbikes going past outside effected it. I am happy to say logitech seem better at coping than MS ones.
That said, i have always been told that a transmiter and reciever should not be too close. A friend who worked for O2 once told me that if you stane right next to a mobile phone mast the mobile can't get a signal. Not that i would like to try and find out though!
Never had any problems whatever the distance. The do recommend putting the reciever away from the PC to cut down on interference. Tried the reset button?

Should add that mines using the mouse socket, not the usb. Oh and its a fair way from monitor/speakers/mains plugs.
Nearest thing is my HD1 charger, when the hard drive is spinning it that it has no effect
Both Jon and I have the MX700 mouse and keyboard and have to say i find themOriginally Posted by Tobeman

I've tried the reset button - my receiver is on my desk next to a HD and monitor and speaker - i've moved it away a bit but doesn't seem to matter much - this problem seems to be an on and off thing, sometimes its fine, sometimes its terrible!
Anyway when I get back i'll maybe test it some more and give it a good old RMA
