    Notebook Memory

Hello, I need to upgrade the memory in a notebook and Crucial's Website says that this is the one I need:

    Memory

I am just wondering if this PC2700 Stuff will work in it too, as it is far cheaper:

    Other Memory

Just need a quick answer before I buy.

If crucial says your system needs 2100 RAM then I would go with them to be honest. On occasion some laptops wont boot up with over specced memory. They just hang without giving a display.

It may work but not its worth the risk of you getting stuck with useless RAM

Grab some generic PC2100 Ram off ebay for a cheap deal

PC2700 should have worked fine. They are just different ratings. Infact even 3200 would have been ok. Buying overspecced memory isn't usually a problem. If you wanted to be as safe as possible I would check it has the same CAS rating, but other than that I would n't worry.
