Copying a whole hard drive to another...

Got a new Samsung 80gb hard drive, and I want to copy the entire contents of my WD800AB to it... I've tried ghost 6 but that didn't work, it didn't like the fact that the partitions were NTFS and the boot partition was over 7.6gb... so anyone got any other ideas?

I don't want to have to re-install windows and all the other stuff...

i have tried hdcopy - but that just does images unless you buy the pro version.

i've also had a look as maxblast from maxtor but you need to have a maxtor hard drive...

FWIW Norton Ghost is best but alternatives are Powerquest drive copy, drive image as well as the ones Maxtor and WD do. Also heard this is good ...

Think i might have to replace my hdd next year, my hdd is the loudest thing in my system

Good to know that you can do this though as it would be very useful.

    DriveImage 7 is very good.

little things like full XP driver support in boot-from-CD-emergency-mode, including network access - as well as complete & total NTFS 5.1 support - make it software worth owning.
