2.5" to 3.5" Harddisk adaptor to borrow?

I desperately need to borrow a 2.5" to 3.5" adaptor.

I've got a laptop hdd that is on it's way out and I need to try and get some of the data off it.

Let me know if you can help.

    Thanks,

    Lee.

Get a cheapy 2.5" USB caddy for about £5 off eBay, very useful in the future also for laptop hard drive recovery!

don't use one just plug it up to your desktop with it resting in the hard drive bay and get the data off it. simple and inexpensive.
your computer is similar to a fridge in that if it cannot keep a beer cold then it sucks

Silly question - do you mean the drive rails or the actual adaptor itself?

I have an adaptor, it was bought new and has never been used so it hasn't been tested.

unreal, you need an apdator to go from the 44pins on the 2.5" disk to the 40pin cable plus 4 pin molex.

    amjedm, that would be superb.
    PM on it's way.

    I bought one of these:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=138544

which comes with connectors for 2.5 and 3.5 disks. It means you can check whats on a disk or get stuff off it without having to open your PC case. No drivers needed for XP either. It just works. Money well spent
