if you are waiting for a sempron why not wait until the 3000+ venice drops in price as its only like £80 now, I would assume the semprons will be about the £50-£70 mark when launced sp why not go for the venice.

I never knew there was going to be S939 sempron line? is this for real?

j/k, yes it is for real.
Yup think I read it on some websites, Q1 '06?. They'd have to be pretty cheap to be worth getting with Venice cores probably being the best value for money chip ATM
Where are Venice's availible for £80? Is that OEM? Or Retail without VAT?Quote:

Sempron 939s are already selling in Asia (I've seen them last week)
They are not very cheap compared to lower end Athlon 64.
It is a better choice to buy S754 Athlon 64 than S939 Sempron.
or get Althon 64 newcastle or winchester which is much cheaper than venice and better than all Sempron.
Well as even an industrial sized shoehorn won't get an ATX mobo into an mATX chassis I'm gonna have an Abit AN8 without a CPU, I might as well bung the cheapest CPU on it I can and find something to do with it ;)
