Illustrator guides. Finding good guides on using and createing good looking graphics is quite tricky at the moment.
How to set up photoshop for specific tasks. For example whats the difference between the different colour modes and how one should set Photoshop up for their specific needs.
PHP gets another vote aswell in addtion to Mysql. A guide on how to properly setup a Mysql database/tables (to avoid potential future problems for example) would be nice.
An indepth guide to modern graphics cards. Im talking about the technologies used by cards which enable them to render games such as doom3 and HL2.

Just thought of something which is really important as far as PHP is concerned.
It would be very very handy to know the proper way of securing your PHP files on the net so that no one has direct access to them. If access is require (for admins), what’s the best way to make such a system? Its very hard for new comers with little experience to know which is the best and mosteffective way of securing their php/website files.

I would definately like that, I'm hopefully studying computer science in a years time to learn all this techno computer stuff, so I'm interested in how it works on a more technical level.Originally Posted by Dorza
I would like to see a DIY guide to recording weather data from sensors... opening and shutting a greenhouse vent... switching an irrigation pump on and off.
I would like to see a guide about running a desktop PC
off solar panel or wind generator. Invertors and battery options etc.
I would like a guide on rigging up cameras for recording high quality images in low light conditions. Either for wildlife watch style bird box or for security.

I'll back up that request for an insight into modern graphic cards
Also some more knowledge on PCI Express cards
Water Cooling fo' sho' guys, I've looked and looked and there are bits and peices everywhere, but nothing consise and thorough enough to answer all of my questions.
Also, to whoever said they'd like to have a guide on VB.NET 2003, yes it is a totally different syntax to Visual Basic 6. I know Visual Basic like the back of my hand, but I never use it now, not since I learnt Java at University and then switched to C# which is basically the same syntax as Java.
I strongly advise anybody making the move from VB6 to VB.NET 2003 to think twice about moving, a much better recommendation is to go from VB6 to C#, it's a real Object Oriented Programming Language and will bring rewards in heaps compared to VB.NET, and the difficulty of the switch are the same for both, VB.NET is just as much of a huge change from VB6 as C# is, so consider this.
Watercooling even though I sussed it (Well, with a fisherprice My-first-watercooling kit.)
beginner guides to less-ussual pc applications - so photography, video, animation, syncronisation with a phone etc, that sorta thing
