    Lightbulb I bought my NEW computer and need COOLER suggestions...

    Hi folks,

    This is my new computer:

    ================================================== ====
    - 1 ENERMAX EG701AX-VE-SFMA 600W
    - 1 _AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Dual-Core (ADA4800CDBOX)
    - 2 _Corsair XMS 2GB PC3200 DDR DIMM (TWINX20483200C2PRO) = 4GB
    - 1 _ABIT Fatal1ty AN8-SLi Motherboard (FATAL1TYAN8SLI)
    - 2 HD WD SERIAL ATA 74GB 10000rpm
    - 1 COOLER FAN ZALMAN CNPS7000B-Cu
    - 1 MONITOR LCD HYUNDAI 19 L90D PLUS
    - 1 Creative Labs GigaWorks S750 7.1 Speaker System Retail
    - VIDEO CARD: waiting until almost 23 august to buy a R520 (if ATI release it) or i will buy a EVGA 7800 GTX KO ACZ3 Edition
    - AUDIO CARD: waiting until the next SOUND BLASTER X-FI generation be released and shipped

    - Case: i´d like to buy a ARMOR VA8000 Series Black (what do you think? - it seems that it comes with some coolers, isnt´t?)
    ================================================== ====

    I´d like to know if i need another COOLER besides that one i bought (1 COOLER FAN ZALMAN CNPS7000B-Cu). I don´t want a WATER COOLER... I just like to know if i need another(s) coolers for my new computer.

    If you have others suggestions to my computer besides the cooler question, feel free to tell me.

    Best regards and thank you very much.

    On a computer of that high spec, why not get two 7800s in SLi??

    But otherwise, I think ur gonna need a good few case fans!

    For a good cooling case get a Lian Li "plus" one, something like a V1200 plus.

    They are becoming a choice case for modders now as Lian Li are producing their cases much better.

    They have space for 120MM fans in them, they come with some, but they are noisy buggers.

    If you read 7800 GTX reviews, you will conclude that SLI (at this moment) doesn´t offer a real advantage in game performance (sometimes, 7800 GTX in SLI lost to a single 7800 GTX)... I am intending just tu buy a 7800 GTX or a R520 for now and wait until the next year to buy another GRAPHICS CARD, cause next year we probably will have a R580 and a 7800 ULTRA. For now, a single 7800 GTX 490/1300 is the best option in my opinion (let´s wait and check waht ATI´s crossfire has to offer to us too).

    Do you really think that LIAN cases are better than THERMALTAKE cases?

    According to sources R520 wont be out untill November thus giving nVidia a 4 month lead...

    Also you might have to secure your futre now rather than trying to change becuase if you want the R520 when its out you would be better off with a Crossfire Mainboard. If you wanted the 7800 series then a SLI board is needed.. If your not wanting to go sli or crossfire then why not purchase a single slot mainboard..

    I my self would go SLI...

    I think the zalman is fine as it is, but you'll get different recomendations from lots of people.

    I am getting an evo120 next month (damnpaycheck)

    xp-90c with panaflo should work fine... never had that fetish for Zalman stuff.. but have heard pretty good reviews all round for their coolers.

    Coolermaster Hyper 6+ if you don't mind the rediculous size and weight..

    Lian Li's stuff are always top of the class.. but so is their price tag.. but since you can afford all those uber stuff.. I suppose another 200 quid for a high end casing with a air cooler wont do any injustice...
    Me want Ultrabook

    I have a hyper 6+ now.

    They are Useless after 12months. Fan dies immediately, bloody noisy and the fan contol makes em noisier if anything.

    You can't move your computer at all cos it'll break the bracket, and when the bracket does break Coolmaster show you the finger.
