RAM upgrade advice for SK83G

Ok I really want to upgrade to 2Gb of ram in my shuttle and was wondering what you guys would recommend?
I would also like to know what my current ram is worth. It is listed below.

1x 512Mb OCZ400512ELPE
1x 512Mb OCZ400512EL

Can't help you on price, but for new RAM, I would just get some decent value stuff - Corsair Value Select or Crucial. The only problem is the higher CAS rating of 3. If you want lower, Corsair XMS3200C2 has a CAS rating of 2.5 (2 if you're on Intel), while something like Ballistix should give even tighter timings.

no. It affects it a little but the boost your getting from going to 2gb will be a squillion (lovely term eh?) times bigger so your only going to notice an increase in speed.

however as with all value ram, overclocking is a no-no.

overclocking with value ram is not impossible, it just means you will have to use memory dividers to get the overclock because your memory will not clock much if at all past 200mhz

with ram dividers you could run your fsb at 250mhz and keep your ram at 200mhz for example

quite alot of value ram seems to get about 220fsb? and from then on you can just use a divider.

Well I do not o/c my shuttle as its fast enough for me plus it gets a little too hot when o/cing it.
Anyone able to give me a value on my current ram?
