heatercores are nearer the dashboard (they're used for transfering heat into the car) they are smaller and usually better performing compared to rads (for their size)) the best ones (for pc's) are Cavilver and Nova heatercores -since they are copper -for best heat transfer, and have 1/2 barbs meaning no/ minimal modding
^you can pick them up at scrapyards, or from ebay pretty cheaply

    nope, aquatics-online are cheaper £42 inc vat + p&p for the 1250. wheras pclincs is £48 + p&p

dont have links for swiftech kits, will look into it in the morning for you. they just are respectable, and have similar performance to the dangerden kits.

DD Z Chipset Block (If on amd kit) 1/2"

    DD GF4/Rad Block 1/2"

    DD res 1/2"

    Eheim 1048/1250 pump 1/2"

Thermal Chill 120.2 or 120.3 1/2" if you go with the 120.3 means you can run the fans a 5v and still get kick ass perfomace

about 3 or 4 meters of 1/2 tubing

Bobs ya uncel tbh with that lot.

Has you said what case you had i would mount the twin 120mm rad uptop ie in the top of the case that way cool air is blow threw the rad .

Stick a 120mm fan upfron to pull cool air in and your sorted

I did in my first post Scorpio case. Can't be bothered to get the quote, but you can find it complete with link to the manufacturer Or should I read "As you said what case..." ?

It sounds as if that's a set up you have, or have seen. If that's the case, can you comment on how quiet it is ?

When you talk about running fans at 7V, is that using potential dividers from +12V rails on the PC's PSU or do you have a seperate power supply just for those fans ?

    I'm getting there...

Any suggestions for good retailers (on the cheap side) for Dangerden bits ?

Also, is there any better order to plug the things in ? And just to make sure I get all the bits I need: I'm thinking of DD4 AMD cpu block, GF4 block, NB chipset block, tubing, radiator (of the car variety), pump and filler reservoir. Am I missing anything ?

    Cheers

You missunderstand me the fact that you stated what case you have is the reason i said mount it up top !

I have not had this rig my self but i know peltny of uses with the same case that have mounted the rad in the top of the case

Running the fans at a lower voltage is simple to do

If there 4 pin fans then i would use a "Fan Power Converte" from

    here

if you had 3 pin fans a "SunBeam Rheostat" would do the job nice

Now regards the order i would have the water going from the pump to the DDM4 block then the DD Z block then to the DD GF4 block then to the rad and then from rad to res and res back to pump

    Think that covers it all

    any more questions ?

    Yes, one more question

What about cooling hard discs ?

There is that kit with all the bits and you can get the hd coolers with thermal interface rubber/gluey stuff, but if you don't buy the asetek waterchill system, what other stuff is out there ?
