What is currently the best socket 939 HSF cooler?

As the title says. I'm thinking of getting the Akasa Evo 33 (AK913) to try and increase the OC i'm getting with my reference cooler, as recomended by CustomPC mag. Anyone here have any experience with this cooler?

I bought the akasa hsf as recommended in custom pc. It is an excellent cooler. with fan control so you can keep it quiet. reduces temps alot form the reference
    cooler. well worth its money.

Just bought an Akasa Evo 120. The lads at Scan have told me that under their tests it rivaled some water coolers

The XP-90c and the XP-120 (Thermalright) are some of the best HSF's on the market atm IMHO

I have an XP-90 and i can recommend it. Not as mind bendingly heavy as teh coppor, almost the same performace as it in most tests (off by like a degree or two at most), and not as huge as the 120.

I actually used a wire coathanger (lol) to mount a 120mm fan over it. The fan's too big, for sure, but i wanted a nice quiet fan with good flow. It works fine.. temps are stable and low.. and the heat is not a factor in overclocking my Venice as far as i can tell. Havent pushed the vcore too much though.
I think if you are after high end overclocking water is the way to go, but for value the XP-90 is very good. Dont forget to get a 92mm fan too though..

I have an XP-120 & it's the dog's danglers! It's a bit of a beast to fir with the mobo in the case & it won't fit al boards so check thermalrights pages for compatability. I tie-wrapped my Xinruilian fan on as it was to big for the clips, but like plesuvius I got great airflow at low noise levels

And I'd agree, if you're pushing the overclock I'd go with water or phase change. I used to have water, but it's a bit pointless with an Opteron As far as I know I'm one of a very few people stoopid enough to try & overclock them
