Anyone has experience with XMS C2PT?

Hi guys,

Was wondering anyone had any experience with clocking Corsair's XMS C2PTs? I tried clocking the memory to 250Mhz but I get 'Memory allocation XXXXXXEXXX could not be read" when I play CS:S for about an hour..

Its already at really lousy timings 3-4-4-10 @ 2.8V.. My guess its probably undervolting.. what do you guys think?

the C2PTs arent supposed to go that fast, they arent tccd afaik

yea i know, was just trying my luck.. ehehe.. but mine does 220MHz fine at 2-3-3-10 at 2.7V

The C2PT chips are optimized for low CL value only. There is not a rule saying that if your chip can run tight timings at stock speed, it must run high frequency at high timing.

I had the mosel vitelic and was a bit pissed off as I just missed out on the TCCD Got rid of them as they wouldn't clock to anything about 210mhz.

If you have the winbond or tccd chips they should clock nicely though so best to find out what they are and you can take it from there.

i have v4.2... does that mean i have TCCD? or TCC5?

TCCD and TCC5 are virtually the same thing, Tccd is binned to ddr 500 and tcc5 is binned to ddr466 I think but otherwise are the same chip.

Those should clock well but I know that its pretty hard to get settings right on a64 mem settings. Often changing one setting can majorly improve/destroy your overclock.

Checking the abit and corsair forums would be the best place to look for default settings for your mobo and tccd/5
