What the best program to monitor CPU temps under load, i.e while playing a game etc. Obviously the temps start coming back down once i exit the game. Maybe something that have a graph over time while a benchmark is looping or something. Any ideas?

I just use software that comes with the motherboard, with my abit an8 ultra board it is the abit eq, i just run a program like prime or anything else that takes the cpu to 100% and monitor the temps with the program.
I'm sure there is a dedicated program that stresses your cpu and monitors temps at the same time though.
MBM5 is your friend :P
Just make sure you get the NF4 configuration file.
Prime95 does not stress the processor strong enough, try S&M. I use Prime95 to test memory only (though using Blend mode). Prime95 was rather a calculation program not entirely a tortune test program.Quote:

There are people out there making custom config files, it is not being updated by the author only.Quote:

Not sure about background monitoring though? Maybe use the mbm high/low data file?
Cheers for the advice mate! I'll check it out! :)Quote:

Riva Tuner
Oh, scrap that, it doesn't monitor temps does it. Only gfx card temps :(
MBM5 is your best bet as its got a really good monitoring/logging system.
MBM5 and a 2nd display or an LCD screen is the best way for real life testing
You can then see the temps ingame easily.
Why a second display?
MBM5 can be set to monitor every second while your playing game or stressing the CPU.
Then its a simple case of looking back at the log.
Clearly states highest, lowest and average temperatures.
