best way t connect 2 pcs

Hi all i have a full pc that will sit in a small office at the back door and also now need to have a monitor\keyboard\mouse arrangement to be used in the front desk.
Do i build a full pc and network them or is there something cheaper?
    Thanks
    Robert

Stick a firewire cable between them If they both got firewire port. Else a 10/100 network will be the second-cheapest solution

Do you need to use the system at the back & front office? If so, at the same time? A simple KVM extender might sort you out, but it isn't clear what you hope to achieve.

Setting up a Remote desktop will be easier and cheaper than a KVM. Although KVM will be good for troubleshooting in case there is something wrong with the remote computer.
