Western Digital Raptor vs Western Digital Caviar 16mb Cache drives - Which is better?

As the title of this thread says, which out of the two drives is better(faster)? I have a Raptor at the moment and it is fantastic - And with my new pc purchase coming up, was wondering if it was worth it to switch

from a value point of view, yeah. i personally don't see the need in buying raptors, when you can get pretty decent performance from a pair of striped drives with a lot more space for the same kinda money.

Although they can quite match it for performance, they can come close especially on an ncq enabled controller (nforce4 ultra/sli intel 955 IIRC). Imo they arent worth the extra cost, for you they might be, go read up on storagereview.com. Why dont you use the raptor you already have?
