    PCI in a PCI-E slot?

Just I theoretical question here. Could I run a 4MB PCI graphics card in a PCI-E slot? This is just for fun but I wondered if PCI-E is backwards compatible like AGP. I doubt it but it does not hurt to ask.

They had different length connections so the PCI one wouldn't fit.
