    Opteron Overclocking Thread...

    I don't know about all you other opteron people out there, but im getting a bit sick of looking through the threads tryingto find some decent info.

    So here it is, the place to post your overclocking results. I should have mine in later this evening, fingers crossed, so I'll get some stock vcore results tonight and stress it a bit more at the weekend.

    Sorry to jump in here without posting overclock figures but Ive got the chip, I just dont have the motherboard to go with it yet, lol.

    I have bought a Opteron 144 CAB2E 0540 FPMW and was hoping somebody could give me advice on which motherboard to get for it because I want to overclock this baby as best I can. I have looked at the DFI but that seems to be really picky on what memory is used and also the Asus A8N Premium but from what Ive read it wont let Corsair Value Select ram run in dual channel.

    This is the rest of the system I have:

    2 x 1gb of Corsair Value Select PC3200
    Antec Trueblue 480w PSU
    XFX Geforce 6800 Ultra PCI-e
    Samsung Spinpoint 160gig SATA

    Any advice given is very much appreciated

    dfi nf4 series (ultra-d, sli-d, sli-dr) are best bets due to memory tweaks and customer service on dfi-street.com

    the abit an8 may also be a possibilty but i myself recommend the dfi

    Didn't realise Aria did the NF4 Ultra-d, thought it was the NF3. decent people to deal with though.

    Yeah Ive used Aria before and had no problems. Just hope this arrives tomorrow (chosen Saturday delivery) as I have all the other parts.
