    OVerclocking noobie (another one)

Hi everyone, am new at overclocking, and just managed to OC my winchester 3000+ to a 3200+ and I might be able to push it a bit more. CPU temp is at 37 C after a few hours of normal utilisation. Volt is currently at 1.552V

First of all i notice that the voltage oscillates between 1.536 and 1.552 is that ok or is dangerous on the long term?

Secondly what is the maximum voltage I can put through the CPU?

And lastly how do you overclock ram? do you just increase the voltage? if so how much can ram stand? I have a pair of 512 MBTwinMos value DDR400 in dual channel.

    Thanks a lot

    K

The divider sets the FSBto RAM ratio,.

If your CPU FSB is 200 at stock, and you run with DDR400 then the divider is 2:1 (RAM:FSB) i.e. double.

    cheers for all the answers,
i had a look into the ram ratio, it was set auto, in cpu-z it said that the frequency for the ram was 223MHz, and when i put the ratio in manual, it did say the ratio was 1:1, so i changed it to 2:1, the comp booted fine and am using it now, but cpu-z still says the frequency is 223MHz, is that normal, or did my attempt at changing the ratio did not succeed?
