I have a 3700 and i want to OC it (will it get to a 4000+) but i also hate sound
CustomPC recomends the Gigabyte G-Power Cooler Pro but the akasa evo 120 is very quiet with a 120mm fan but is it cold enough, or are there other coolers?

whats ur budget...I think a new cooler from zalman is good (cns-9500 i think) if you can stretch ur money and does not want a watercooling setup..anyway for just mild overclock (3700 (2.2) -> 4000 (2.4))...any cooler will do I think (even the stock cooler)...![]()
semi working rig: AMD64 Venice 3000+@2.7Ghz (300x9), Artic Cooling Freezer, 512x2 Kingston Hyperx DDR400@2-2-2-10, MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, Leadtek 6800LE (12p,6v@430/860) bios mod w Zalman VFS700 AlCu, Seagate 160Gb, Antec Lanboy, 400W Akasa PaxPower.
I think you should get a Thermalright XP-90 or XP-90c or even XP-120 (quite big tho)![]()

How loud are those thermalright?
The actual coolers are silent: its the fan that you put on them that makes a noise. They're nice as you can choose whichever one you wantOriginally Posted by Svarn

have a look at the arctic cooling freezer 64 - its silent and from the reviews ive read is a decent overclocking heatsink.
The Arctic cooling freezer has a good write ups! Superb bit of tech.
how much noise? thats what i really dont want. 4000+ is like an fx55 right?
