Recently my computer has been really faulty with trying to run games. After first installing a game it will run fine but once iv turned off my comp and back on again then try the same game it will give me an error message saying do i want to send the problem to microsoft. Why is this happening to me its driving me nuts. I quess its my hard drive but im not sure.

More than likely it would be video card drivers if it's not a hardware fault.

What GFX card do have and have you tried updating the drivers.

If your using WinXP have you installed srvice pack 1. Also go on windows update and install the latest updates from MS.

Sound card drivers may help also.

It might be the 9700 pro, try re-installing the drivers for it and dont overclock it (If you are that is)

Try these installation instructions i used for my 9700 np see if they help you

First go into safemode
Remove the old ATI control panel and ATI display drivers from add\remove panel in control panel.

Then run Drivercleaner to clean out the old drivers

restart in normal windows
Press cancel when windows informs you it has found a video controller
(You will have to do this twice)
And now install the new drivers (Latest are Catalyst 3.8)

I prefer the Omega customised drivers
(cause they have overclocking, artifact tester, and a 9700 to 9800 path mod)

To install omega drivers you leave your existing drivers on, but just un-install the old ATI control panel then run the omega driver package and restart PC.

Try reinstalling the graphics drivers as Ravens Nest n Sk!mD4Rk said, but if your still getting the error try reinstalling windows, its a bit drastic but it tends to cure problems you cant solve. Well in my experience anyway.

I doubt its a hardware issue..
